New Music: Weekly Releases for July 7, 2023
NEW MUSIC ALERT
Whoa. There’s a lot to catch up on when it comes to the happenings and all of the things from the past few weeks! Sorry for going ghost there.. but you get it! Sometimes you just need to step away in order to recalibrate. Oh, did I need that.
My return, however, does not go without another new platform to hit the masses.
By now, many have heard of Mark Zuckerberg’s latest social app, Threads. Because that’s just we needed.. Another social channel to add to the mix.
Naturally, this social butterfly signed up the moment I saw Hello Tefi mention it on Twitter (Ironically.)
So far, I’ve really enjoyed it. My timeline is currently flooded with nothing but spooky decor and threads from other Halloween Lovers.
I went ghost and out came the ghouls, werewolves, and vampires! This leads me to my next point: She’s Back!
I’m referring to our girl Olivia Rodrigo. The ‘drivers license’ hitmaker just released the first single off her Sophomore album. The lyrics tell a story that can only be inspired by heartbreak itself.
As sad as it is in the moment, some of the best work is written during some of the toughest times and in the midst of the hardest lessons. Rodrigo has yet to announce a title for the new project or release date but I can bet my last dollar.. LP2 is about to slay! Let’s pray it also slays said ‘Vampire.’
Other fellow musicians in a macabre mood include Lil Uzi and Bring Me The Horizon, who jumped on Uzi’s latest album, Pink Tape. Hit play on their sick collab ‘Werewolves,’ here.
